News

  • 27th May 2014 Cave Springs, Manzanita, and Pine Flats campgrounds were all spared damage in the fire (thank you firefighters!) Manzanita will reopen May 28. If you had reservations after this date, they are still in effect. Pine Flats may open by the weekend, but we have not gotten a final word on it. Cave Springs needs an inspection of the surrounding area for hazards and may not open for a week or so.
  • 22nd May 2014 UPDATE.....

As far as we know, the Slide Fire has now claimed over 4,500 acres of the Coconino National Forest. Fire fighters have been successful in preventing damage to residents and facilities throughout Oak Creek Canyon. It seems that Cave Springs CG and Pine Flats CG may not be affected by the fire. We appreciate all the support and concern that has been given. A progression map can be seen at www.redrocknews.com.

Until then please consider alternative locations for visitation.

  • 18th October 2013 Hello everyone,

We are pleased to announce that Cave Springs and Manzanita Campgrounds (along with Beaver Creek, Chavez Crossing, and Clear Creek) will be re-opened tomorrow morning (10-18-13). We sympathize for those frustrated by the closure and ask for your continued patience as reservations are in the process for reinstatement. Also, please feel free to enjoy our, ever popular, day use areas such as Call of the Canyon (West Fork), Crescent Moon Ranch, and Grasshopper Point, as they join us for the same re-opening date.

Thank you in advance for all of your support,
