  • 20th June 2014 Happy Summer from Double Lake from us all to you! Come kick off the first day of the season tomorrow with us and fire up the pits for some good old fashion BBQ and Smores, hike and bike the beautiful trails and even take a dip in the lake-----which, thanks to the recent rains, now has approximately four feet of water!!! Many have been catching small Catfish also.

Remember that with three major summer holidays approaching, that if you are told that there are no sites available, they are referring to RESERVABLE SITES. Contact us directly at Double Lake for availability of our FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED SITES. Please be aware that FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED SITES must be occupied on the night the site is paid for.

Our Day-Use area for non-campers is also another way to share in the summer fun with family and friends. Just bring your pits, take a dip in the lake, or just sit and bask in the beauty of the Sam Houston National Forest.

We will update the water level of the lake if there are any major changes!

Hope to see you frequently this Summer!
