Silver Campground is located 2 miles NE of Cloudcroft on SH 244.  All paved roads to and through campgrounds. Elevation is 9000 feet. 30 family units spaced closely together provide tables, fire rings, parking spurs, toilets, drinking water, central garbage depository, plus interpretive trails.  There is a trailer length limit of 32 feet.  Handicapped sites and restroom available.

Competitors from both the local area an from other states will complete in many events including many for both men and woman and double buck. ax throws, and many others. Come and join us for a great weekend and camp in any one of the Forest Service Campgrounds in Cloudcroft with Recreation Resource Management, Apache, Saddle, Silver, Silver Overflow, Pines campgrounds are on Highway 244, Deerhead ,sleepygrass campgrounds are on NM highway 130 in beautiful Cloudcroft, and enjoy the cool temperatures and town events
starting out on July 4th with a full day of activities, begin your day with a road rally starting at 9:30 am full of great stops and fun hijinks. The secret route will only be revealed as the teams of driver and navigator find their way through the road course.The rally combines scoring elements of time,mileage and observations. If you don't want to rally? there will be cars that will be entered into the caraplalooza which will be stationed around town you can be a part of the show by voting for the peoples choice award for your favorite ride. Then on Burro Street, the children can pick up an entry for the coloring contest and use their imaginations to color in one of the July 4th pictures.
At 4 pm their will be a parade going around town to show off our nation colors. After the parade you can dance on burro street to the music of DJ Mikey Mike from 5 to 8 pm.
After July4th the following weekend July 11&12 the 35 year tradition of the July Jamboree Art & crafts show will be taking place in Zenith park ,also a Farmer's Market all starts at 10 am both days and ends at 8 pm
