Grasshopper Point is open with restrictions. Please note a few restrictions listed below:

Facial coverings are required. 

No social gatherings in groups more than 8.

Practice appropriate social distancing by maintaining 6 feet from other visitors.

Practice good hygiene (avoid touching face, wash hands regularly or use hand sanitizer, sneeze or cough into a tissue or the inside of your elbow, disinfect used items and surfaces).

  • Grasshopper Point picnic area is a favorite swimming area and has access to great hiking trails. Grasshopper Point is located in Oak Creek Canyon, 2 miles north of Sedona, AZ. This swimming area is situated under canyon walls and has deep water for water recreation. Allen's Bend Trail starts from the picnic area and runs parallel to the creek. Casner Trail starts at the end of Allen's Bend Trail and offers excellent views. Swimming, hiking, fishing, and picnicking are favorite activities at Grasshopper Point.

    Day Use

    Propane grills are allowed only at the picnic tables. Cliff jumping and diving are discouraged for personal safety. The pool has varying depths, hidden rocks, and unforseen objects that could be hazardous. Fees can change without notice.
