Plesae note: the road into the campground is unpaved. A high clearance vehicle isn't required, but is recommended. Trailers & RV's enter at own risk with only SMALL trailers and RVs allowed (nothing over 20').

Effective Wednesday, May 26, Stage II Fire Restrictions are in place for campgrounds located in Coronado National Forest. No fires or campfires are allowed. Only certain LPG burning devices that possess an on/off switch are allowed.

  • This mountain campground is located at the head of a shallow, forested canyon a short distance off the Catalina Highway. Spencer Canyon faces the city of Tucson and the Santa Cruz Valley, both of which are visible as a distant panorama through openings in the forest canopy.

    Campground (66 total sites)

    The campground offers different tent camping sites from walk-in to mountain-top settings. A network of trails surround the campground, where you can look for many types of wildlife and birds, as well as take in the scenic views. There are picnic tables and fire pits/grills at each site and central toilets and drinking water throughout the campground.

    Please note: parking spaces are limited at the campgrounds on Mt. Lemmon. Upon reservation, visitors are provided the maximum number of parking spaces allotted.
