  • Located approximately 14 miles east of Basalt, Colorado in White River National Forest, Mollie B White River Campground sits adjacent to the Ruedi Reservoir at an elevation just under 7,800 feet. Sites at this campground open up to views of the reservoir and starry nighttime skies. A mixed conifer forest hems in the shoreline, and nearby peaks offer an ideal setting for guests seeking recreation and relaxation.

    Campground (27 total sites)

    Mollie B Campground has 27 standard sites suitable for tents, trailers, and RVs. There is a maximum length of 40 feet for RVs. A dump station is available. The sites are equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings. Guests also have access to flush toilets and drinking water, but electrical hook-ups are not available. A boat ramp is available for use at this campground.

    • This is Mollie B/White River Campground located in Carbondale, CO in the Sopris Ranger district; please do not confuse this campground with the Molly Brown Campground located in Leadville, CO

    • No boat trailers in campground; boat trailers must be parked in the Marina area

    • In accordance with standard industry practices, there will be an additional vehicle fee per day on the second vehicle in each single family campsite, and on the third and fourth vehicles in any double family campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the first vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the first two are considered as one vehicle for determining additional vehicle fees. The third and fourth motorcycle would also be considered as one vehicle. No additional vehicle fees are collected for bicycles.

    • Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed. For current fire conditions or weather closures contact Aspen & Sporis Ranger District at 970-925-3445 or 970-963-2266.

    • All food, beverages, trash and scented items must be properly stored when not attended. Bear-proof food lockers are provided at each site and bear-proof trash receptacles are provided at the campground.

    • Several campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis

    • Additional parking is remote

    • Prevent the spread of invasive species by inspecting and cleaning packs, equipment, and tires before using lake or trails
