Four Jeffrey Campground is open with restrictions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19; please note a few listed below:

No social gatherings in groups more than 8.

Practice appropriate social distancing by maintaining 6 feet from other visitors.

Practice good hygiene (avoid touching face, wash hands regularly or use hand sanitizer, sneeze or cough into a tissue or the inside of your elbow, disinfect used items and surfaces).

Four Jeffrey Campground will be undergoing construction for necessary road improvements during July and possibly August. Please check back for updates on possible closures for Loops #1, #2, #3, & #4. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Four Jeffrey Campground is a mostly shaded campground with gorgeous views of Table Mountain along the South Fork of Bishop Creek. Campers enjoy fishing and swimming in the trout-stocked creek. The nearby John Muir Wilderness provides plenty of hiking opportunities to view impressive lakes and glaciers.

    The South Fork Bishop Creek beckons anglers with rainbow, brown, brook and Alpers trout. A fish cleaning station is available onsite

    The area offers access to several trailheads for hiking and horseback riding into the John Muir Wilderness. The Tyee Lakes Trailhead is less than a mile up the road. The trail highlights epic views of the Inconsolable Range and the peaks surrounding South Lake.

    The campground offers several single family sites, all with picnic tables, food storage lockers, and campfire rings with grills. Amenities include accessible flush toilets and drinking water.
