Lake View Campground and the Narrows Day Use Area are temporarily closed. The Newman Wildfire is expected to produce smoke that will have indirect impacts to Lake View Campground and the Narrows Day Use Area during the week of July 15th. There is no threat to the campground or other recreation sites in the area.

  • Lakeview Campground is a tent camper’s paradise with its terraced, hillside campsites creatively tucked in amongst an open old-growth stand of ponderosa pine. With all the easy forest and lake access, this is a also great place for wildlife watchers. Many visitors report seeing bald eagle, osprey, migratory waterfowl, great blue heron, elk, and mule deer.

    Facilities

    Campground (30 total sites)

    30 single unit sites. Each campsite offers tables, fire rings, and cooking grills, while the campground provides drinking water, three accessible vault type toilets, and a boat ramp for universal access fishing at Lake Mary Narrows Picnic Area. Wood Memorial Trail (universal access) links Lakeview Campground with Lake Mary Narrows Picnic Area. Trash service for pay campers only. Host on site. Space is usually available for slide-outs.
