Saddle Campground

The Forest is currently in Stage 2 Fire Restrictions. The alert notice can be found here. Effective May 25, 2022 the campground will be closed to reduce the risk of human-caused wildfires during periods of high fire danger and severe fire weather conditions.

  • At an elevation of 9000 feet, Saddle Campground sits among mixed conifer and aspen forests, providing an escape from summer heat in southern New Mexico. Tables, fire rings, parking spurs, gray water sumps, toilets, showers, central garbage depository, plus interpretive trails.

    Facilities

    Campground (17 total sites)

    All paved roads to and throughout the campground. 17 family units spaced closely together provide tables, fire rings, parking spurs, toilets, drinking water, central garbage depository, and interpretive trails. There is a trailer length limit of 35 feet. There are sites that meet ADA guidelines.
