Driftwood Campground

Effective July 12, 2021, all open fires, including charcoal fires, will be prohibited on all lands administered by the Deschutes National Forest. There are no exceptions for developed or hosted campgrounds. Further information is found on the USDA Forest Service website. 

  • Driftwood Campground is the first of four facilities located on Three Creeks Lake and provides campers with beautiful views of the water and surrounding nature.

    Driftwood Campground is at the head of the Tam McArthur Trail which is a short, reasonably easy hike that provides great views of the Sisters - Faith (North), Hope (Middle) and Charity (South). The Three Sisters are volcanic peaks and are the third-, fourth- and fifth-highest peaks in Oregon. Three Creeks Lake is easy to fish from shore or by wading, but boat fishing is the most popular method. Only non-motorized boating is allowed.

    Campground (18 total sites)

    Driftwood Campground can accommodate RV, trailer or tent-campers however water and electric hookups are not available. This is a no water facility so campers will need to bring their own supply. All sites are equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring with grill and the campground has vault toilets available.

    • This campground is only suitable for tent camping since we cannot accommodate RVs or trailers.

    • Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.     • Single site fees include 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle. Any additional vehicles are subject to an extra vehicle fee on-site, space permitting.

    • Please Note: Check out time now 12:00 PM, check in time 2:00 PM.

    • This facility is pet friendly so long as animals are picked up after and kept on their leashes.

    • Prevent the spread of invasive species by inspecting and cleaning packs, equipment and tires before using lake or trails.

    • Don't Move Firewood: Please protect Pacific Northwest forests by preventing the spread of invasive species. Firewood can carry insects and diseases that can threaten the health of our western forests. You can make a difference by obtaining and burning your firewood near your camping destination.     • Camping for a period in excess of 14 days consecutively in any one campsite is not allowed. Prior to returning to the campground after an initial 14 day stay, any person that was a part of the group must move to a new location at least 5 air miles from the previous location for at least 30 days.
