Spencer Campground

  • This mountain campground is located at the head of a shallow, forested canyon a short distance off the Catalina Highway. Spencer Canyon faces the city of Tucson and the Santa Cruz Valley, both of which are visible as a distant panorama through openings in the forest canopy.

    Campground

    The campground offers different tent camping sites from walk-in to mountain-top settings. A network of trails surround the campground, where you can look for many types of wildlife and birds, as well as take in the scenic views. There are picnic tables and fire pits/grills at each site and central toilets and drinking water throughout the campground. Parking spaces are limited.
